Hey mama! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Dayna, but I’m pretty sure you already knew that.

Let’s be honest, you’re likely not here to learn more about me (and that’s absolutely okay). You’re here to figure out whether or not I can help you get to where you want to be. Trust me, I get it. Before that, I’m gonna tell you a story.

In 2020, in the height of the pandemic, I had a high needs, sleepless, colicky newborn, a feisty two year old, and a parter who relied heavily on me as the sole breadwinner of our family. I was mentally and physically exhausted, unknowingly resentful, and so disconnected from not only my family but also myself.

On a Saturday morning, as my then-husband left whimsically to go golfing with his buddies, I sat there on the living room floor holding my screaming infant while my two year old ran circles around me. I seethed inside at how easy it was for him to just up and leave and do what he wanted without a second thought.

“WHAT ABOUT ME?!” I screamed inside.

Not two seconds later, my toddler threw a Magna-tile at my newborn’s head and yelled with fiery rage “WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!”

His little face looked at me in terror and he fell to the floor in tears. Mom guilt incoming like a the force of an avalanche on my heart.

It was that moment that I knew something had to change.

Though I had always known I wanted to parent my kids differently than how I was raised and I had been reading all the books I could on gentle parenting, it wasn’t sticking. Something felt off. I felt empty, frustrated, and lonely.

Scrolling Instagram later that day I stumbled on Dr Shefali, the mother of Conscious Parenting and Dr Nicole LaPera, The Holistic Psychologist. From there, I dove into learning everything I could about the topics of conscious parenting, respectful parenting, attachment science, childhood trauma, Childhood Emotional Neglect, codependence, parentification and more.

In three years of intentional learning, work & focus, I went from feeling like a ragey, disconnected, resentful, controlling, distracted, inauthentic, & dissociated mom to a mom who is lovingly engaged, present, connected, flexible, silly, peaceful (mostly) and authentic.

In addition to my personal experiences, I’m a Certified Transformational Parenting Coach through the Jai Institute for Parenting. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Communication & Psychology, 10+ years of professional coaching experience and 3+ years of self-led & formal education in areas of attachment theory, childhood neurobiological development, nervous system science, emotional regulation, childhood trauma, and conscious, respectful parenting.

With all of this combined, I have acquired the knowledge and expertise to help parents create healthy, deeply connected relationships with their kids (I specialize in ages 0-7 but have worked with families of older kids, too). I’d love to be your coach & guide,

With love,

        Dayna
